Requirements

To be employed within Fuel and Tanker Fleet Directorate, we are looking for a “Tanker Commercial Operations Specialist” with the following qualifications;

 

  • BSc/MSc in Shipping Management, Marine Transport Engineering, Business Administration or a related field,
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a Freight department (i.e. Tanker Operations, Freight, Disbursements),
  • Experience on LNG vessels would be an asset,
  • Knowledge of shipping law, marine insurance and International Maritime regulations,
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English,
  • Very good command of MS Office suite and experience on ERP programs (preferably SAP),
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing working conditions,
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well under tight deadlines,
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business stakeholders,
  • Work effectively in a team with good interpersonal and communication skills – committed to teamwork approach,
  • Business and result oriented mindset,
  • Ability to prioritize and handle pressure,
  • Flexible, responsible, and independent approach to work,
  • No military obligation for male candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

·       Bunker procument:

Assisting in;

o   Bunker replenishment for all Karpower fleet included Powership, managed tankers and support vessels.

·        Tanker Fleet:

Assisting in,

o   Creating a HFO replenishment schedule for Powerships and utilizing the tanker fleet accordingly.

o   Reviewing vessel’s stowage and tank cleaning plans. Monitoring loading, sailing and discharging operations.

o   Preparing voyage orders, appointing agents.

o   Arranging and coordinating bunker supplies.

o   Ensuring being in compliance with agreed charter party terms.

o   Issuing freight and hire invoices, preparing lay-time calculation, calculating & claiming demurrages and following up on payments.

o   Calculating and negotiating off-hires.

o   Updating the management about the operations of the managed tanker fleet.

o   Assisting in finding new ways to increase fleet productivity.

o   Managing sludge disposal.

o   Post voyage analyses.

·       Documentation:

o   Providing support to strategic decision (voyage calculation, etc.)

o   Filling out monthly reports

o   SAP- MM Module
